Senior CodeQL Analysis Engineer

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a software engineer, software consultant, or software security engineer
• Minimum 2 years of experience in developing or customizing source code analysis tools
• Strong understanding of programming language fundamentals
• Fluent in software development fundamentals
• Demonstrable ability with at least one of the languages supported by CodeQL

Nice to Haves

• Implementing or working with static analysis, with a particular focus on taint tracking or abstract interpretation
• Logic Programming or Functional Programming
• Secure coding practices and triaging common types of security vulnerabilities
• Working directly with customers or stakeholders to scope, propose, and implement technical solutions
• Mentoring and educating other engineers

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing bespoke solutions using CodeQL to solve challenging customer problems
• Developing static analyses to find vulnerabilities in customers' code
• Providing CodeQL training for developers and security engineers
• Supporting product development and adoption of AI-powered CodeQL features through customer engagements
• Being a trusted advisor for customers on all aspects of CodeQL
