Senior Software Engineer, Backend, Reporting Infra

Requirements

• Have a customer-centric attitude and develop opinions about the HubSpot product
• Can lead a team's complex projects with many moving parts (technologies, teams)
• Take ownership, work collaboratively, figure things out and work with minimal guidance
• Someone who has shown that they can solve complicated technical problems and analyze tradeoffs with empathy for the developers, yet build creative solutions
• Understand how we build and why for our customers

Nice to Haves

• Experience with any JVM language such as Java or Scala
• Ideally you’d have experience in SQL and Snowflake
• Experience working with data in any capacity is a big plus but not essential
• Like the idea of working on a small, customer-driven development team of 3-5 engineers

What you’ll be doing

• Working with Java, Kafka, MySQL, ElasticSearch, and Snowflake
• Building data-driven products on a petabyte scale data warehouse
• Being part of small, autonomous teams with full ownership over apps
