Senior Staff Software Engineer, Firefox Desktop Integrations

Requirements

• 10+ years experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience with low-level systems programming on at least one major platform (Windows, macOS, Linux, any mobile platform)
• Solid understanding of C/C++
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to influence roadmaps and execution
• Experience with development on Windows and/or macOS
• Commitment to values like welcoming differences and practicing responsible participation

Nice to Haves

• Programming experience in Rust
• Additional Linux and/or macOS experience
• Contributions to open source projects
• Expertise in compilers pipeline design and optimization
• Knowledge of improving compiler performance
• Experience with developing installers for operating systems

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, developing, and shipping Firefox features
• Leading design reviews for Firefox desktop
• Using data and metrics to enhance user engagement
• Investigating and solving low-level OS programming issues
• Supporting team and product roadmap priorities
• Mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with management
